A PERSON WHO IS ENGAGED FOR COMPENSATION IN THE RENTAL OF EQUINES OR EQUINE EQUIPMENT OR TACK OR IN THE INSTRUCTION OF A PERSON IN THE RIDING OR DRIVING OF AN EQUINE OR IN BEING A PASSENGER UPON AN EQUINE IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE INJURY OR DEATH OF A PERSON INVOLVED IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF EQUINE ACTIVITIES, AS DEFINED IN SECTION 895.48 (1) (E) OF THE WISCONSIN STATUTES.

How do our clinics operate?

Lance starts with the fundamentals and moves forward into more advanced maneuvers and control. 
All disciplines and training levels are welcome and encouraged to join our clinics. Regardless of the training level, all horses and riders can benefit from the practices that take place. 

Participants may work on:

  •  Basics (steering, whoa and go)
  •  Fundamentals
  •  Reined work
  •  Flag
  •  Cattle

                Boxing 

                Fence Work 

     
 Stalls are only available to full weekend participants who pay in advance. 

Want to participate in a clinic but don't have a horse? Contact us about using one of ours! Additional $50 per day, must be paid in advance.

We do a potluck style lunch so bring your favorite beverage and a dish to pass!

We do not have RV hook-ups but we do have plenty of trailer parking space. Bring your generator and feel free to camp out for the weekend.

We have a strict NO DOGS policy so please leave your dogs at home.

Our clinics are capped at 12 participants and will fill up quickly!

We provide a broad range of education and we invite all ages, disciplines and experience levels to learn how wonderful their life can be when combined with horses.


Requirements: Appropriate Clothing

                        Heeled Riding Boots

                        Helmets for 18/under

1 Hour Adult Lesson:

      $60 per rider
           Lessons may include flag and/or cattle

Group lessons are available

 Solid Lesson Horses are Available for an additional fee.
    
Youth Riding Lessons: $40/hour
     


A beginner rider will spend approximately 35 minutes of ride time with 25 minutes horse prep/horse care

Today's youth are the future of the horse

We don't just teach our youth students 
to sit on a horse, they will learn about:

  • Safety with horses around people, other horses and other livestock
  • Catch, lead and tie-up a horse
  • Approach and move around a horse
  • Groom and prepare a horse for riding
  • Mount and Dismount
  • Arena and Barn Etiquette
  • Aspects of riding beginning with the basics
  • Ride!
  • Groom and put the horse away
  • Put all of their equipment away
  • Clean up their mess
  • Be responsible
  • Be respectful
  • Communicate
  • Set goals
  • Basic horse care such as feed requirements, health care and hoof care.
  • Equipment Care
  • More topics as they grow and develop their skills and interests.
